Bukan؛ Rasoul Yadyar Was Sentenced to 9 Years of Discretionary Imprisonment and Supplementary Punishment

June 9, 2026; Rasoul Yadyar, a Kurdish citizen from the city of "Bukan", was sentenced to 9 years of discretionary imprisonment and a two-year travel ban by the Revolutionary Court of this county, headed by Judge "Mehdi Fakhri".

According to an informed source to Kurdpa, the court session to hear the accusations against this Kurdish citizen was held on May 31, 2026, in the Revolutionary Court of the county of "Bukan", and he was sentenced to five years of discretionary imprisonment, one year of discretionary imprisonment, and three years of discretionary imprisonment, respectively, on the charges of "membership in one of the Kurdish parties in opposition to the Iranian government through recruiting for it", "propaganda against the state in favor of one of the Kurdish parties in opposition to the Iranian government", and "posting the announcements of one of the Kurdish parties in opposition to the Iranian government on the walls of villages adjacent to Bukan and publishing them".

This informed source accidents; furthermore, as a supplementary punishment to prevent him from leaving the country until the full execution of the punishment, the court has sentenced Mr. Yadyar to a travel ban for a period of two years.

This informed source stated; the Revolutionary Court of Bukan relied on the reports of the Intelligence Department of this county to issue the verdict against Rasoul Yadyar, and only a single maximum sentence along with the supplementary punishment is enforceable.

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, Rasoul Yadyar, who was arbitrarily detained by security agencies for more than 4 months and was held without access to the right to a lawyer, meetings, and contact with his family, and whose life was in danger due to severe physical torture, was temporarily released upon depositing a heavy bail.

Previously, on December 26, 2025, and on the eleventh day of his arbitrary detention, Kurdpa had published that after enduring severe physical torture in one of the security detention centers of the Intelligence Department of Bukan, Rasoul Yadyar was transferred to the quarantine of Bukan Prison, and without access to medical care, the right to a lawyer, and contact or meetings with his family, he was in a very critical condition and his life was in serious danger. His family was also extremely worried about his physical condition and fate.

According to an informed source to Kurdpa, Rasoul Yadyar was severely subjected to physical torture in the detention center of the Intelligence Department of Urmia during the first days of his arrest, such that one of his hands, nose, jaw, teeth, and two of his ribs were broken, and his entire body had severe bruising. His head and face were also severely injured. This source added that despite this critical condition and severe pain, he was transferred to the quarantine of Bukan Prison, and the Intelligence Department of Bukan had ordered that no medical care be provided to him. Concurrently, Rasoul Yadyar's family had been deprived of any contact and meetings with him, and concerns regarding his life had severely increased.

Rasoul Yadyar was arrested on Tuesday evening, December 16, 2025, by security forces of the Intelligence Department without being presented with a judicial warrant and was transferred to an unknown location.

Rasoul Yadyar is from the village of "Gug Tappeh" surrounding the city of "Bukan", 30 years old, married, and employed in the bakery profession.
