Abdanan: 3 days of arbitrary detention and transfer of Behrouz Hemmati hospital employee to Mah-Pareh Prison

April 25, 2026; during the past few days, a hospital employee from the city of Abdanan named "Behrouz Hemmati" was arbitrarily arrested by security forces and subsequently transferred to Mah-Pareh Prison without any explanation.

An informed source, while confirming this news, told Kurdpa: "Behrouz Hemmati," a 43-year-old Kurdish citizen from the city of Abdanan in the vicinity of Ilam Province and an employee of the hospital of this city, was arrested on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, without the presentation of a judicial warrant and was transferred to an unknown location. Subsequent reports indicate his transfer to "Mah-Pareh" Prison in the city of Darreh Shahr located in Ilam Province.

Until the moment of publication of this news, no information is available regarding the reasons for the arrest of this Kurdish citizen, and the security forces have provided no explanation in this regard. He is also deprived of access to a lawyer.
