Kurdistan Region of Iraq; The death of "Ghazal Molan", a Peshmerga of the "Komala of the Toilers of Kurdistan", as a result of drone attacks by the "Islamic Republic"

On the afternoon of April 14, 2026, while the military conflict between the "United States-Israel" and the "Islamic Republic of Iran" is in its seventh day of ceasefire, a wave of drone attacks by the "Islamic Republic of Iran" was carried out against the camps of the Kurdish parties, as a result of which a female Peshmerga of the "Komala of the Toilers of Kurdistan" lost her life and two other Peshmerga members were wounded.

An informed source told "Kurdpa" in this regard: "Ghazal Molan Chaparabad", a 19-year-old Peshmerga of the "Komala of the Toilers of Kurdistan", was originally from "Mahabad" city in "West Azerbaijan" province. She was engaged.

In a statement regarding this, the "Komala of the Toilers of Kurdistan" wrote: "Like thousands of Kurdish women and youth, she had joined the ranks of the Peshmerga against discrimination and suppression, and she lost her life in this path. These terrorist attacks are another document of the anti-human and anti-freedom background of the "Islamic Republic", which stops at nothing—including slaughter—for its own survival."

Meanwhile, the media outlets of the "Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan" reported that on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 14, 2026, one of the party's camps, which houses families, was targeted by a suicide drone attack, but this attack resulted in no fatalities. These media outlets also announced that since the beginning of the war, the camps and headquarters of this party have been targeted 110 times by missile and drone attacks, and places including the homes of refugees and political families, medical centers, and educational facilities have constituted the bulk of these targets.

In this regard, images of the attack on the "Surdash" camp have been published, showing that the phrase "In memory of my martyred leader Sayyid Ali Khamenei" was written on one of the drones. However, the "Islamic Republic of Iran" has not officially claimed responsibility for these attacks so far.

According to statistics, the "Kurdistan Region of Iraq" has been targeted by more than 700 missile and drone attacks so far, and at least 18 people—including 7 Peshmerga of the "Kurdistan Region of Iraq", one "Asayish" employee, 7 Peshmerga of the parties of "Iranian Kurdistan", 2 civilian citizens, and one French soldier—have lost their lives, and at least 93 others have been wounded.
