Oshnavieh Prison; Release and leave of 58 prisoners, transfer of the rest to an unknown location

March 3, 2026; Simultaneously with the joint military attacks by Israel and the United States on the military and government centers of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during the past days, out of a total of 84 prisoners held in the prison of the city of “Oshnavieh,” 58 prisoners have been released or sent on leave, and the remainder have been transferred to an unknown location.

An informed source, while confirming this news, told “Kurdpa”: During recent days, out of a total of 84 prisoners held in the prison of the city of “Oshnavieh,” 43 individuals were sent on leave by posting bail, 15 prisoners (including individuals with addiction and some other prisoners) were released, and the remaining prisoners who were unable to provide bail have been transferred to an unknown location.

“Kurdpa” had previously reported that on March 1, 2026, simultaneously with the joint military attacks by Israel and the United States on the military and government centers of the Islamic Republic of Iran, hundreds of prisoners in various cities, including “Mariwan,” “Urmia,” “Naqadeh,” “Salmas,” and “Kamyaran,” were temporarily released on bail. Information received by “Kurdpa” also indicates that in the Central Prison of the city of “Mariwan,” a number of political prisoners have also been released.
