Marivan; One female citizen killed and a number of civilians injured as a result of airstrikes
March 11, 2026; On the thirteenth day of the military conflict between Israel-USA and the Islamic Republic, following airstrikes on a center belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the village of "Belker" in the vicinity of Marivan city in Kordestan province, at least one female civilian was killed and dozens of others were injured.
According to local reports, this border base in the village of "Belker" was targeted by Israeli and American fighter jets. During this attack, at least one female civilian, whose identity has not yet been determined, lost her life, and 45 other civilian residents of this village were injured.
Local reports also indicate that a number of citizens were injured in the "Kani Dinar" area. According to local sources, the proximity of residential areas in this region to military centers has resulted in civilians being exposed to danger and sustaining injuries during the airstrikes.
Based on the rules of the Fourth Geneva Convention and the principles of International Humanitarian Law, governments and parties involved in armed conflicts are obliged to always distinguish between military objectives and civilian areas and to prevent actions that could endanger the lives of civilians. Furthermore, the positioning or maintaining of military installations and equipment near residential areas can increase the risk of harm to civilians, and governments are duty-bound to protect the lives and security of citizens in such circumstances by taking the necessary measures.
