Ilam Prison; Continuation of Arbitrary Detention and Indeterminacy of Kian Negahdar, Civil Activist, After 15 Days

February 2, 2026; Following 15 days of the arbitrary and violent detention of “Kian Negahdar,” a Kurdish civil and cultural activist, and after his transfer to “Darreh Shahr” and “Ilam” prisons, this citizen remains in a state of indeterminacy and without access to a fair trial.

“Kian Negahdar,” a Kurdish citizen from “Ilam,” a cultural-civil activist, and an employee of the “Dehloran Petrochemical” plant, was arrested on January 17, 2026, following a violent raid by security forces on his personal residence. He was initially transferred to “Darreh Shahr Prison” and subsequently to “Ilam Prison.”

It should be noted that he has been deprived of the right to access a lawyer and the right to visit his family thus far.
