Lumar / Sirvan; 21 days of detention and lack of information regarding the fate of Elyas Javanmard/ His life and fate are in danger
February 8, 2026; Following 21 days since the arbitrary detention of “Elyas Javanmard,” a 38-year-old Kurdish citizen from “Lumar” in “Sirvan” county, “Ilam” province, there is still no information regarding his fate or place of detention, and his family is intensely worried about his life and fate.
An informed source, while confirming this news to “Kurdpa,” stated; “Elyas Javanmard” was arrested by security forces on January 18, 2026, without the presentation of a judicial warrant and was transferred to an unknown location. Despite repeated inquiries by the family, no answer has been provided regarding his status or whereabouts, and this lack of information has intensified the concerns of his relatives.
During his 21 days of arbitrary detention, this Kurdish citizen has been completely deprived of any right to access a lawyer, as well as contact and visitation with his family. The continuation of this absolute lack of information regarding his status has increased serious concerns regarding his life and fate among his family and loved ones.
“Elyas Javanmard” is married, has a child, and is the provider for his family.
