Kermanshah; Tahereh Soleimani, environmental activist and "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi" detainee Transferred to prison to serve 3 months and 10 days of imprisonment

February 8, 2026; “Tahereh Soleimani,” an environmental activist and one of the detainees of the "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi" revolutionary uprising who was wounded and arrested during the movement, was transferred to “Kermanshah” prison to serve a sentence of 3 months and 10 days. She is the mother of two young children.

According to an informed source speaking to “Kurdpa,” “Tahereh Soleimani” was transferred to the women's ward of “Kermanshah” prison on Saturday, February 7, 2026, to carry out her 3-month and 10-day prison sentence. She was sentenced on the charge of “propaganda against the state through sending images and criminal content to groups hostile to the regime”; a charge she has completely denied, emphasizing that she has had no membership in any political groups.

On December 9, 2022, during the "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi" revolutionary uprising at “Taq-e Bostan” Boulevard in “Kermanshah,” this environmental activist suffered a severe fracture in her arm due to direct baton strikes by repressive forces. Due to the severity of the injuries, after being transferred to medical centers, her arm underwent surgery and a plate was implanted.

In the continuation of pressures months after the protests, “Tahereh Soleimani” became a target of arrest and security interrogations. In the most recent instance, security forces arrested her violently and without a judicial warrant in the early hours of August 24, 2025, in front of her young children. During this arrest, her mobile phone and personal laptop were also seized without judicial authorization.

She had previously spent 19 days in arbitrary detention, and according to the announcement, this period will be counted toward her prison sentence. During that period of detention, she was deprived of any right to access a lawyer or visit with her family.
