Sirvan / Ilam; 28 days of detention and lack of information regarding the fate of two Kurdish brothers, Hadi and Ghasem Porhemat Their lives and fates are in danger

February 7, 2026; Following 28 days since the arbitrary detention of “Hadi Porhemat,” 30 years old, and “Ghasem Porhemat,” 37 years old, two Kurdish brothers from “Sirvan” county in “Ilam” province, there is still no information regarding their fate or place of detention, and their family is intensely worried about their lives and fates.

An informed source, while confirming this news to “Kurdpa,” stated; these two brothers were arrested by security forces on Saturday, January 10, 2026, without the presentation of a judicial warrant and were transferred to an unknown location. “Hadi Porhemat” was arrested during a violent raid by security forces on the family home in “Sirvan,” and “Ghasem Porhemat” was arrested in the city of “Ilam.”

Despite repeated inquiries by the family, no explanation has been provided by security agencies, and their relatives are intensely worried about their lives and fates. During their 28 days of arbitrary detention, these two Kurdish citizens have been deprived of the right to access a lawyer and visit with their family, having had only one short phone call with their family. The continuation of this absolute lack of information regarding their status has escalated serious concerns regarding their lives and fates.
