Bojnord; More than 20 days of detention and lack of information on the fate of Elias Rahimzadeh; intense family concern over his fate

February 1, 2026; Elias Rahimzadeh, a Kurmanji Kurdish youth from “Bojnord,” has been detained by the security forces of the Islamic Republic for more than 20 days without the presentation of a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location; thus far, no official information regarding his status or fate is available.

According to received information, Elias Rahimzadeh was arrested on January 13, 2026, and has been kept in absolute lack of information since that time. He is deprived of the right to access a lawyer, telephone contact, and visits with his family, and his family is severely concerned about his life and condition.
