February 23, 2026; After 30 days since the arbitrary detention of “Sohrab Bahrami,” a Kurdish civil activist from Sanandaj, his detention order has been extended for a second time. According to reports, he is under severe pressure to provide forced confessions.

An informed source, while confirming this news, told Kurdpa: “Sohrab Bahrami,” a well-known civil activist from Sanandaj, was detained on January 25, 2026, following a raid by security forces on his home without a judicial warrant. He was transferred to an unknown location and is still being held there. His detention order has been extended for the second time.

Until the publication of this report, no information regarding the reasons for his detention has been released, and security forces have provided no explanation in this regard. Furthermore, he is deprived of the right to access a lawyer and meetings with his family.
