Dargaz; 44 Days of Detention and Absolute Lack of Information Regarding the Fate of Reza Khosh-Bonyad; He Has No One to Follow Up on /His Fate

February 20, 2026; After 44 days since the arbitrary detention of “Reza Khosh-Bonyad,” a Kurdish youth from the city of Dargaz in Khorasan Razavi Province, there is no information available regarding his fate and place of detention, and there is no one to follow up on his case and status.

An informed source, while confirming this news, told Kurdpa: “Reza Khosh-Bonyad” was detained on January 8, 2026, without a judicial warrant by security forces and transferred to an unknown location, and since then, no information regarding his fate has been available and no one is following up on his affairs.

This source added: “Reza Khosh-Bonyad,” from whom forced confessions have been taken and attributed to “setting fire to some shops and mosques,” has no one to follow up on his status. His father and mother separated during his childhood, and he only has an elderly grandmother who lives in a nursing home. He grew up in “misery and displacement.”

It is necessary to mention that until the publication of this report, he has been deprived of any right to access a lawyer, or to have meetings or contact with relatives. “Reza Khosh-Bonyad” is from the Kurmanj Kurds of the city of Dargaz in Khorasan Razavi Province.
