Kermanshah; 8 Days of Detention and Lack of News on Seyyed Nima Khamoushi, a Yarsani Citizen
January 7, 2026; Despite more than eight days passing since the arbitrary and violent detention of a 20-year-old Kurdish youth of the Yarsan faith in Kermanshah named “Seyyed Nima Khamoushi,” there is no information available regarding his place of detention and fate.
According to an informed source speaking to Kurdpa; on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, “Seyyed Nima Khamoushi,” son of Boroumand and from the “Sadat of Yarsan,” was violently detained by security forces without the presentation of a judicial warrant after posting a story in support of the people. Following one week, no information is available regarding his place of detention or fate.
Furthermore, during this period, he has been deprived of any right to access a lawyer or to have contact or meetings with his family.
