Abdanan; Armed Attack by IRGC Forces on the Family Home of Political Activist Pezhar Maleki and the Wounding of His Mother and Two Brothers

Simultaneous with widespread popular protests in Abdanan on the evening of January 6, 2026, members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces raided the family home of political activist abroad “Pezhar Maleki” in Abdanan, a suburb of Ilam, and as a result, his two brothers and mother were wounded.
An informed Kurdpa source said; in this armed attack, “Esmat Ghasemi”, the mother of this political activist, and “Amin Maleki” and “Milad Maleki”, his two brothers, were targeted by gunfire and wounded.
Pezhar Maleki is a political activist and writer residing abroad who has previously been targeted multiple times by assassination threats abroad, and his family has also frequently faced threats, pressure, and raids on their home.
