Piranshahr; With the Detention of Wahab Mohammadpour, the Number of Detainees in This City Reaches Three

On Thursday, October 30, 2025, three Kurdish citizens from Piranshahr named "Rahim Rahmani," "Raouf Farokhi," and "Wahab Mohammadpour" were violently arrested by security forces and transferred to security detention centers; to date, there is no information regarding their fate.

According to an informed source to Kurdpa, between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM, a large number of security forces from the Intelligence Administration were stationed in the alleys and on the rooftops of these citizens' homes. Without presenting a judicial warrant and by breaking doors and windows, they raided their houses and arrested these three individuals in a violent manner.

This informed source says that during these arbitrary arrests, the mobile phones of these citizens and some of their personal belongings were seized without the presentation of a judicial document. Furthermore, the security forces pointed a gun at Wahab Mohammadpour’s wife and severely threatened the families of these three individuals.

Reports received by Kurdpa indicate that these citizens have been transferred to security detention centers in Urmia, and there is no information about their fate, leaving their families deeply concerned about their situation.

Until the publication of this news, no information is available regarding the reasons for the detention or the fate of these citizens.

"Wahab Mohammadpour" was previously arrested during the "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi" revolutionary uprising and was subjected to severe torture.

"Rahim Rahmani," 35 years old, is from the village of "Zangabad," a resident of Piranshahr, and a father of three children.
