Detention of Zilan Kamangar by Security Forces in Kamyaran

In the early hours of Wednesday, October 29, 2025, "Zilan Kamangar," a Kurdish citizen from Kamyaran, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

According to an informed source, security forces raided the family home of this citizen without presenting a judicial warrant and arrested her.

The informed source added: After searching the house, the security forces confiscated the mobile phones of the members of this family and took them away.

"Zilan Kamangar" is the daughter of "Hossein Kamangar," a former political prisoner who was released from Sanandaj Central Prison on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, upon posting a bail of one billion Tomans and was subsequently acquitted of the charge of "Baghi."
