January 26, 2026; “Sirus Rabiei-Beigi,” a Kurdish citizen from “Karzan” in Ilam province, was targeted by direct fire from a “shotgun” by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic on Friday, January 9, 2026, during the popular protests in this city. While he was crossing the street holding his young child in his arms, he was severely wounded in both eyes and has lost the sight in both eyes.

An informed source, while confirming this news to Kurdpa, stated: “Sirus Rabiei-Beigi” is 33 years old and a worker who is the head of his household. He does not have the necessary financial capability for medical attention to the condition of his eyes, and with 17 days having passed since the time of his injury—while he sees nothing but darkness—he has not yet been able to undergo the necessary treatment by a specialist. According to this source, general practitioners have lost hope regarding the condition of his eyes.

The source added: To pursue his medical treatment, the family has been forced to sell several head of sheep, which were the family's source of income, so they could take action to visit Tehran and obtain the opinion of a specialist.
