Saqqez; Detention of Sedigh Yousefpour, Member of the “Halo” Mountaineering Group, by Security Forces

Wednesday, January 21, 2026; “Sedigh Yousefpour,” known as “Pire Halo,” a former political prisoner and member of the “Halo” mountaineering group of Saqqez, was detained by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
According to an informed source to “Kurdpa,” security forces detained Mr. Yousefpour without presenting a judicial warrant and subsequently raided his personal residence, conducting a search of the premises.
Sedigh Yousefpour has a prior record of detention and conviction.
