Naghadeh: Farhad Karimi Sentenced to Six Months in Prison
Farhad Karimi, a Kurdish citizen from Naghadeh, was sentenced to six months in prison by the 103rd Branch of the Criminal Court 2 of this city.
According to an informed source, the court has charged this citizen with “cooperation with one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government,” and he is scheduled to present himself to Naghadeh prison in the coming days to implement the prison sentence.
On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, Mr. Karimi was released from Naghadeh prison after 49 days of temporary detention upon posting bail.
This Kurdish citizen had been transferred to one of the detention centers in Urmia for interrogation and was moved to Naghadeh prison after the completion of the interrogation phases. He was deprived of access to a lawyer during the detention period.
On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, Farhad Karimi was detained by security forces without the presentation of a judicial warrant.
