Tehran; Yasin Elahi, 18-Year-Old Kurdish Youth from Ilam, Killed by Live Ammunition in the January 9 Protests

January 19, 2026; “Yasin Elahi,” an 18-year-old Kurdish youth from “Ab-Anar,” Abdanan, located in Ilam province, is the identity of another of the victims of the popular protests on January 9 in Tehran who was killed by live ammunition from the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic.

An informed source, while confirming this news to Kurdpa, stated: “Yasin Elahi,” an 18-year-old Kurdish youth from “Ab-Anar,” Abdanan, located in Ilam province, was targeted by direct fire of “Kalashnikov” live ammunition from the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic in the chest on the evening of Friday, January 9, 2026, during the popular protests in Tehran at “Falak-e Dovvom-e Dolatabad, Tehran,” and lost his life.

His body was buried in the “Ebn-e Babvayeh” cemetery in Shahr-e Rey, located in Tehran province.
