Qeshm; Diako Mohammadi, 17-Year-Old Kurdish Youth, Fatally Shot on January 8 in Qeshm by Direct Gunfire and Delivery of the Body in Exchange for One Billion Tomans

January 12, 2026; "Diako Mohammadi", a 17-year-old Kurdish youth from Salas-e Babajani of Kermanshah province and a resident of Qeshm city, is the identity of another victim during the popular protests of January 8, 2026, in Qeshm city.

An informed source, while confirming this news, told "Kurdpa": "Diako Mohammadi", son of Naser, 17 years old, was killed on Thursday, January 8, 2026, during the popular protests in Qeshm city by military-repressive forces via direct gunfire.

After killing this 17-year-old youth, the security and repressive forces abducted his body and placed the family under extensive pressure and threats to pay "one billion Tomans" in exchange for the delivery of the body. Ultimately, the family was forced to pay this amount and received the body on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

The Mohammadi family is originally from Salas-e Babajani of Kermanshah province and has been residing in Qeshm city for 10 years.
