Salas-e Babajani; Ako Mohammadi, 22-Year-Old Kurdish Youth, Victim of January 8 in Qeshm by Direct Gunfire and Delivery of Body in Exchange for One Billion Tomans

January 12, 2026; “Ako Mohammadi,” a 22-year-old Kurdish youth from “Salas-e Babajani,” a suburb of Kermanshah, and a resident of Qeshm, is the identity of another of those killed during the popular protests of January 8, 2026, in Qeshm.

An informed source to “Kurdpa,” while confirming this news, said; “Ako Mohammadi,” son of Naser, 22 years old, was killed on Thursday, January 8, 2026, during the popular protests in Qeshm by direct gunfire from military-repressive forces.

After killing this 22-year-old youth, the security and repressive forces abducted his body and placed the family under extensive pressure and threats to pay “one billion tomans in exchange” for the delivery of the body. Ultimately, the family was forced to pay this amount and received the body on Sunday, January 11.

The Mohammadi family is originally from “Salas-e Babajani,” a suburb of Kermanshah, and has been residing in Qeshm for 10 years.
