Marivan: Heiman Danesh, Young Kolbar, Killed by Government Forces’ Gunfire

In the early morning of Monday, July 28, 2025, Heiman Danesh, a Kurdish kolbar (cross-border porter) from Marivan, was killed after being shot by government military forces at the border of this county.

According to an informed source, government soldiers opened direct fire on this kolbar at the Hanjiran border crossing of Marivan without prior warning.

Heiman Danesh, the son of Ali, was married and a father.

In a related incident, in the early morning of Saturday, July 26, 2025, another Kurdish kolbar, Barzan Salehi from Baneh, was also killed by government forces’ gunfire at the border of that county.
