Mahabad: Arrest of Soroush Yousefzadeh by Security Forces

In the early hours of Thursday, June 18, 2025, a Kurdish citizen identified as Soroush Yousefzadeh, a resident of Mahabad, was arrested by security forces and taken to an undisclosed location.
According to a reliable source, security personnel detained Mr. Yousefzadeh at approximately 4:00 AM at his family residence without presenting a judicial warrant.
The source further reported that, in addition to confiscating some of Mr. Yousefzadeh’s personal belongings, the security forces also seized the mobile phones of his father and brother.
As of the time of publication, no information has been made available regarding the reasons for Mr. Yousefzadeh’s arrest or any charges brought against him.
