Oshnavieh – Heidi Shadikha sentenced to 1 year and 10 months in prison

A young Kurdish man named Heidi Shadikha, son of Hassan, from the village of Singan, a district of Oshnavieh, has been sentenced to 1 year and 10 months in prison by Branch 101 of the Criminal Court Level 2 of this city.

According to a knowledgeable source, the court accused him of collaborating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties against the Iranian government.

The source added that the verdict was delivered to Mr. Shadikha in recent days.

On Monday, December 30, 2024, Heidi Shadikha was arrested without a court warrant by security forces and transferred to one of the security detention centers in Urmia for interrogation. During his detention, he was denied access to legal counsel and family visits.

After the interrogation phase concluded, the young Kurdish man was transferred to Oshnavieh prison, and on Monday, February 17, 2025, he was temporarily released on bail of 700 million tomans.
