Baneh – Mehran Fattahi, a young kolbar, injured by government forces' gunfire

On Wednesday, May 29, 2025, a 27-year-old kolbar (cross-border porter) named Mehran Fattahi, from Baneh, was wounded by gunfire from government forces at the border of this town.

According to a reliable source, the government military forces opened fire without prior warning on the kolbar in the Hengezhal border area near Baneh.

Due to the severity of his injuries, the kolbar was transferred to a hospital in Tabriz.
