Mamusta Barzan Maleki Released from Hamedan Prison on 1-Billion Toman Bail

On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, Mamusta Barzan Maleki, the Friday prayer leader and teacher at the Sheikhin Grand Mosque in Sanandaj, was released from Hamedan Prison after posting 1 billion tomans in bail.

Mamusta Maleki had been arrested the day before, on Monday, May 26, 2025, following his summons and appearance before the Special Court for the Clergy in Hamedan.

Just a day earlier, on Sunday, May 25, 2025, he had been summoned to the Sanandaj Intelligence Office, where he was interrogated for two hours.

Previously, on Monday, January 29, 2025, security forces detained Mamusta Maleki and several of his students near Dehgolan, approximately 20 kilometers outside of Sanandaj, preventing them from traveling to Zahedan in response to an official invitation from Makki Mosque.
