Sanandaj: Civil Activist Qane’ Khateri Sentenced to Eight Months in Prison

Qane’ Khateri, a civil activist from Sanandaj, has been sentenced to eight months in prison by Branch 1 of the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Mostafa Azizi, on the charge of “propaganda against the regime.”

Previously, on Thursday, February 22, 2025, Khateri was temporarily released from Sanandaj Central Prison after posting 500 million tomans in bail.

He had been transferred to prison after completing interrogation at the Intelligence Office Detention Center in Sanandaj.

Khateri was originally arrested on Thursday, February 8, 2025, without a judicial warrant by security forces.

Earlier, on Thursday, January 16, 2025, he had also been summoned to the Sanandaj Intelligence Office, interrogated for several hours, and then released.

Qane’ Khateri has a prior record of arrest and conviction.
