Nowsud: Young Kolbar Mohammad Rahimi Killed by Government Forces’ Gunfire

In the early hours of Sunday, May 25, 2025, a young Kurdish kolbar (cross-border porter) named Mohammad Rahimi, son of Ghafour and a resident of Banevreh, a town in Paveh County, lost his life after being shot by government military forces at the Nowsud border.

According to a reliable source, government forces opened fire directly on the kolbar without any prior warning.

The source added that Mohammad Rahimi succumbed to his injuries due to the severity of the gunshot wounds.

His body is currently held at the forensic medical facility in the city of Paveh.

Mohammad Rahimi was married and the father of one child.
