Mahabad: No Information on the Whereabouts of Tofigh (Chia) Amini, 13 Days After His Arbitrary Arrest

As of May 23, 2025, 13 days have passed since the arbitrary arrest of Tofigh (Chia) Amini, a Kurdish citizen from Mahabad, and there is still no information available regarding his whereabouts or condition.

According to a source who spoke to Kurdpa, on Sunday, May 11, 2025, Tofigh (Chia) Amini was detained by security forces and taken to an undisclosed location.

The source reported that security agents raided his family home without presenting a judicial warrant. Although Amini was not present at the time, one of the family member’s mobile phones was broken during the raid. Nevertheless, later that same day, Tofigh (Chia) Amini was arrested.

As of the time of this report, no official information has been released regarding the charges, reason for his arrest, or his current condition or location.
