Reza Miri, Kurdish Prisoner, Executed in Ghezel Hesar Prison, Karaj

In the early hours of Wednesday, May 14, 2025, the death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner named Reza Miri, a native of Harsin County in Kermanshah Province, was carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.
The prisoner had been transferred to solitary confinement on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in preparation for execution.
Reza Miri had been arrested five years ago on charges related to drug offenses and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary.
As of now, no official announcements regarding his execution have been made by Iranian authorities or domestic media.
