Summons and Interrogation of Two Labor Activists in Sanandaj

On Wednesday, May 1, 2025, Zaniar Dabaghiān and Payam Fattahi, two labor rights activists based in Sanandaj, were summoned and interrogated by the Intelligence Office of the Ministry of Intelligence in the city.
According to a reliable source, the interrogation was conducted in connection with recent gatherings marking International Workers’ Day. Security agents reportedly questioned the two activists regarding their alleged involvement in these activities.
Dabaghiān and Fattahi had received a telephone summons the previous day, Tuesday, April 30, 2025 (corresponding to 9 Ordibehesht 1404 in the Iranian calendar). Security authorities instructed them to appear at the Intelligence Office at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Both activists have previously been subjected to repeated summons, arbitrary arrests, and threats by Iranian security and intelligence institutions due to their peaceful labor activism.
