Summoning of Mamousta Loqman Amini to the Special Clerical Court in Hamedan

Mamousta Loqman Amini, the Friday Prayer Leader of the Chahar Yar Nabi Grand Mosque in Sanandaj, has been summoned to the Special Clerical Court in Hamedan.
According to the summons he received, this Kurdish cleric must appear before the Special Clerical Court in Hamedan on Monday, April 21, 2025.
In June 2023, Mamousta Loqman Amini was sentenced to 11 years of discretionary imprisonment, two years of exile in Ardabil, permanent defrocking, and a ban on delivering Friday sermons on charges of:
“Propaganda against the regime in favor of a Kurdish opposition party,”
“Possession of a handgun,” and
“Inciting unrest and chaos and supporting the people and the protests of the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi revolutionary uprising.”
On Monday, January 30, 2023, Mamousta Loqman Amini was arrested by security forces on the Marivan road without a court warrant, due to his support for the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi revolutionary uprising.
He was temporarily released on bail on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, pending the completion of judicial proceedings.
