Osman Mazin, a lawyer, reported the continued eight-day detention of Shuresh Abubakri and Delshad Mohammadi without informing them of their fate

On January 22, 2024, Osman Mazin, a lawyer, published an open letter addressed to the public and revolutionary prosecutor of Sardasht, referring to the armed arrest of Shuresh Abubakri and Delshad Mohammadi on January 8, 2024, with a judicial order, from the lack of responsiveness of security and judicial institutions to the families of these citizens and ignorance of their fate. He pointed out that these people have the right to contact their families according to the law and the families have the right to be informed of the fate of their children.

Mr. Mazin also pointed out that they have been deprived of the right to access a lawyer according to the law. He has called for the observance of their civil and legal rights in this letter addressed to the prosecutor of Sardasht.

Shuresh Abubakri, a well-known artist from Sardasht, known as "Shuraswar", was arrested and transferred to an unknown location by the armed forces of security at midnight on January 8, 2024, without presenting a judicial order.

Mr. Abubakri is a producer, presenter, Tar player, and singer from Sardasht in the field of literature and art. He had a music school called "Ava-e Kurd" in Sardasht, which was revoked six years ago.

This Kurdish artist, in the last video that he published on his Instagram page in the Kurdish language one day before the arrest, spoke of the government's restrictions and preventive measures to prevent his activities in the field of Kurdish art and literature in the past two decades.
