Sadeq Mahmoudnejad, a protester injured in the eye, was transferred to Naghdeh prison to serve his sentence
On January 2, 2024, Sadeq Mahmoudnejad, a protester injured in the eye from Piranshahr, was arrested and transferred to Naghdeh prison to serve his sentence after being summoned to the branch of the execution of judgments of the court of this city.
A while ago, this protester was sentenced by the Revolutionary Court of Mahabad to five years and six months in prison on charges of "membership in one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government" and "propaganda against the regime".
Also, in August 2023, this protester injured in the eye was sentenced by Branch 102 of the Criminal Court of Piranshahr to three months of imprisonment and 30 lashes on charges of "disrupting public order and security by participating in protests and inciting people to violence through cyberspace". After protesting this verdict, it was changed to paying eight million tomans in cash.
On July 15, 2023, Sadeq Mahmoudnejad was temporarily released from Naghdeh prison by posting a four billion tomans bail.
This protester was transferred to Naghdeh prison after completing the interrogation stages at Piranshahr Intelligence Detention Center.
On July 3, security forces raided the home of this protester injured in the eye without presenting a judicial order and arrested him.
Sadeq Mahmoudnejad was severely wounded in the eye by the shooting of the repressive forces at 11 pm on September 21, 2022, during the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, Azad, and in the "Mamosta Hajar" square of Piranshahr.
This protester was severely wounded by the impact of pellet bullets left eye retina was torn and his vision was 20 percent.
Mr. Mahmoudnejad underwent surgery several times in the hospitals of Khomeini Urmia, Farabi Tehran and, Imam Sajjad Ramsar.
Sadeq Mahmoudnejad, 23, from the village of "Jaran" in Piranshahr, is married and has one child.
