Saqqez; Fereshteh Rahmanzadeh and Her Father, Ali Rahmanzadeh, Murdered by Her Ex-Husband

July 16, 2026; Over the past few days, a young woman named Fereshteh Rahmanzadeh, along with her father, Ali Rahmanzadeh, lost their lives due to gunshot wounds inflicted by Fereshteh’s ex-husband, following family disputes after their divorce regarding her dowry (Mehriyeh).

An informed source confirmed the news to Kurdpa, stating: "On the afternoon of Monday, July 13, 2026, Fereshteh Rahmanzadeh and her father, Ali Rahmanzadeh, were targeted with gunfire by Fereshteh’s ex-husband, Salah Farajpour, in a garden house located on the old Saqqez–Marivan road, resulting in the deaths of both individuals." According to this source, family disputes following the divorce, the issue of the dowry, and the ownership of the garden house were the motives behind the murder.

Fereshteh Rahmanzadeh and her father, Ali Rahmanzadeh, were residents of Khordeh-Luki village, a suburb of Saqqez. Salah Farajpour, Fereshteh’s ex-husband, is a resident of Kavmeleh village, also a suburb of Saqqez. Fereshteh Rahmanzadeh was the mother of two children named Aynaz and Anisa.

Following the incident, state media announced that law enforcement forces and emergency personnel arrived at the scene and transferred the victims' bodies to the morgue. Furthermore, the suspect fled the scene after committing the murders, and responsible agencies are working to apprehend him. Several days after the incident, no news regarding the arrest of the suspect has been released yet.
