Execution of a prisoner from Ilam in Qezelhesar prison in Karaj

At dawn on January 8th, the death sentence of a prisoner named "Kiyumars Gholami" from the city of Sarableh in Ilam province was carried out in Qezelhesar prison in Karaj.

This prisoner had been transferred to the solitary confinement cell of Qezelhesar prison on January 7th, for the execution of the death sentence.

Kiyumars Gholami had previously been arrested on charges related to "drug" crimes and then sentenced to death by the judicial authorities.

So far, the news of the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by the official authorities or the media inside Iran.
