The opposition of the Urmia Intelligence Office to the temporary release of Samad Shabuyi

A Kurdish citizen named "Samad Shabuyi" 38 years old from the village of "Shahouaneh" in Ushnaviyeh was deprived of temporary release due to the opposition of the Urmia Intelligence Office.

According to a source informed to Kurdpa, the Urmia Judiciary has set a bail of three billion tomans for the temporary release of this citizen, but due to the opposition of the Urmia Intelligence Office, he is still in detention.

The informed source added: The Urmia Intelligence Office has announced to the court that it will not agree to the temporary release of Mr. Shabuyi until the verdict is issued for him.

The informed source stated: that Samad Shabuyi was transferred to the central prison of this city after about two months of interrogation from the Urmia Intelligence Office detention center and has been deprived of access to a designated lawyer so far.

On August 21, 2023, this Kurdish citizen was arrested after being summoned to the Ushnaviyeh Intelligence Office.

On July 11, 2023, Siamand Shabuyi, brother of Samad Shabuyi and a member of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan, was assassinated by agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan.

So far, no precise information has been obtained about the reason for the arrest and the charges against Samad Shabuyi.
