On November 2, 2022, Momen Zandkarimi, an 18-year-old from the village of "Machka" in the suburbs of Dehgolan and a resident of the "Golshan" neighborhood of Sanandaj, was killed by government forces during the popular protests in the city as a result of being shot with a large number of pellets from a close range by suppressive government forces and after these forces attacked his wounded body. According to this informed source to Kurdpa, due to severe bleeding during transfer to Kowsar Hospital, Momen Zandkarimi lost his life and his family took his body to his hometown. His body overnight in Machka village in the Dehgolan suburbs was buried.
Momen Zandkarimi's father announced in a video on the night of his burial that his son's killer was from the Islamic Republic of Iran.
On the seventh day ceremony for this killed young man, several participants were summoned to information by Sepah, and on the fortieth day ceremony communication routes were closed to Machka village by military-suppressive agents.
Momen Zandkarimi was the son of Obeid and Hayat and was born on April 11, 2004.
