Piranshahr; Sadegh Mahmoudnejad, an injured protester in the eye, was arrested

In the early morning of Monday, July 3rd, Sadegh Mahmoudnejad, an injured protester from Piranshahr, was arrested by security forces.

According to an informed source, security forces stormed the house of this injured protester without presenting a judicial order and detained him.

Sadegh Mahmoudnejad was severely wounded on September 21, 2022 during the revolutionary uprising for women, life, freedom in Mamosta Hajjar Square, Piranshahr, as a result of gunfire by suppressive forces, which caused severe damage to his eye.

As a result of shotgun pellets, his left eye's retina was torn, and his visual power is now at 20%.

Mr. Mahmoudnejad has undergone several surgical procedures at Khomeini Urmia Hospital, Farabi Tehran Hospital, and Imam Sajjad Ramsar Hospital.

Sadegh Mahmoudnejad, 23 years old, is from the "Jaran" village in the Piranshahr area, married, and has one child.
