September 9, 2026; "Siamak Mofidi" and "Soroush Enayati," two Kurdish teenagers from Takab who were arbitrarily arrested in recent days and transferred to Tehran, have been charged with security-related offenses including "acting against national security," "propaganda against the state," and "disrupting public order." Security files were compiled against the two youths prior to their arrest, and heavy bail set at 7 billion Tomans each has been requested for their temporary release. The two teenagers are currently held at the Juvenile Correction and Rehabilitation Center in Tehran.
According to an informed source speaking to Kurdpa, 17-year-old "Siamak Mofidi" and 16-year-old "Soroush Enayati," who were recently arrested in Takab and transferred to Tehran, have been formally charged with "acting against national security," "propaganda against the state," and "disrupting public order." Heavy bail of 7 billion Tomans has been requested for the temporary release of each teenager.
The source added that security case files containing these charges had actually been prepared against the two teenagers prior to their arrest. Two days after being formally charged, they were transferred to the Juvenile Correction and Rehabilitation Center in "Zibashahr," Tehran. These charges were communicated without access to legal representation and were carried out by security agents from the Ministry of Intelligence.
On the evening of Saturday, September 5, 2026, 17-year-old "Siamak Mofidi" and 16-year-old "Soroush Enayati" were arrested at their homes without a judicial warrant following a raid by security forces and taken to an undisclosed location. The two teenagers were subsequently transferred under tight security to an undisclosed facility in Tehran for interrogation. Both youths had been working at a cafe in Tehran in recent months.
The Juvenile Correction and Rehabilitation Center of Tehran Province, operated under the State Prisons Organization for detaining minors under the age of 18, is located in the Shahr-e Ziba neighborhood in Tehran's District 5.
