The desecration of the tomb of Abdulsalam Qader Galavan, a victim from Oshnavieh, and the detention, beating, and violation of his brother by security forces
On Sunday morning, July 9th, after the violent arrest of Suleiman Qadir Galavan, the brother of Abdul Salam Qadir Galavan, a victim of the revolutionary uprising for women, life, freedom, he was severely beaten and his dignity was violated by the authorities at the Oshnavieh detention center. They then proceeded to destroy his brother's grave.
According to a source from Kurdpa, security forces raided Suleiman Qadir Galavan's house in the early hours of the morning. He was violently and disrespectfully arrested in front of his spouse and children, and then transferred to the Oshnavieh Intelligence Detention Center.
Mr. Galavan was subjected to severe beatings throughout the night at this detention center. In the morning, security forces transported him to his brother's grave, Abdul Salam Qadir Galavan, and proceeded to destroy and disrespect the grave in front of his eyes.
The Kurdpa source adds that Mr. Galavan was also subjected to humiliation by security forces during his arrest by shaving his beard and mustache.
Currently, the Galavan family has transferred their son for medical treatment and CT scans to Naqadeh Hospital.
On September 26, 2022, Abdul Salam Qadir Galavan, the son of Nader, who was severely injured during the protests on September 21st in Oshnavieh, lost his life due to the severity of his injuries in one of the hospitals in Urmia.
