Assassination of two members of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq
In the early morning of Friday, July 7th, two members of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran named "Loghman Aji" and "Adel (Sarbaz) Mahajer" were assassinated by agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
The Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran stated in a statement that on the early morning of Friday, July 7th, several members of the party had gone to the areas around the village of "Halsho" in the suburbs of Qaladze city, and these two party members were assassinated by agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran, while condemning this terrorist act by the Islamic Republic, emphasized in its statement that the assassination machine of the Islamic Republic is targeting political activists more aggressively than ever before.
The mentioned party also requested that both the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Region take a stance against the terrorist acts of the Islamic Republic.
In August 2021, Musa Babakhani, a member of the leadership of the Democratic Party, was assassinated by agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the "Gol Suleimaniyah" hotel in the city of Erbil.
Since 1980 until now, hundreds of members and leaders of Kurdish opposition parties to the Iranian government, including members of the leadership of Kurdish parties, have been assassinated by the Islamic Republic of Iran in Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, Turkey, and Europe.
