Young Kurdish girl sentenced to 50 lashes by Iran Revolutionary Court in Saqez

Kurdpa Agency: A Kurdish girl from Saqez was sentenced to 50 lashes by the Revolutionary Court in Saqez.
Based on reports received by Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa), Branch 101 of Saqez’s Central Court sentenced a Kurdish girl named “Chini Akher Khub” to 50 lashes and a fine of 400 hundred thousand Toman in cash.
Based on the report, the young girl was charged due to “participating in gatherings to support the Kurdish Independence Referendum,” in Iraqi Kurdistan, which took place back in 2017.
This young girl was initially detained by the security forces amongst hundreds of others, sentenced to prison and was later released.
