Kurdpa agency: Iran’s border guards arrested twenty Kurdish Kolbar on the borders of Hawraman.
Based on reports received by Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa), on Sunday, August 13, the Iran border guards arrested twenty Kurdish Kolbar near the “village of Bierwas” from Pawa (Paveh) district. These Kolbars goods were also confiscated by the forces.
According to an informed source, the border forces also shot at these Kolbars horses.
These Kolbars were several hours later released by the border forces.
According to articles 1 and 2 of laws relating to smuggling, when and if the price of the goods smuggled is less than a million Toman, which is too often the case in the case of the Kurdish Kolbar no crime has been committed.
The government officials and border forces treat the Kurdish Kolbars on the basis of “Commodity Traffickers” and therefore, consider them as security threats. This comes at a time where the people of Kurdistan are struggling to provide for their family due to the imposed poverty by the government.
