To Rouhani: Release Ramin Zandniya

Kurdpa agency: A group of teachers in Iranian Kurdistan have opposed to a Kurdish civil activist detention.

According to Kurdpa news agency, 20 days after Ramin Zandniya and his wife were arrested, a group of teachers and educational sector have signed a petition to the head of the executive (president Rouhani) saying this Kurdish civil activist should be released as soon as possible.

In this letter the destination of Ramin Zandniya and Parwin Mohammadi have been addressed. Keeping them in custody has also been criticized and it has been labeled as illegal act.

According to Kurdpa reporter in Saqez some individual who has signed the petition are concern about what would happened to themselves (what would be the reaction of the government). These individual are from various cities in Iranian Kurdistan.So far 14 teachers and member of educational institutes have signed the petition.

Iranian Kurdish teachers have indicated in the letter that the government of hope and prudence (referring to president Rouhani administration) should release this couple and it would be a piece of mind for Iranian teachers community.

Ramin is an active member of teachers Union in Iranian Kurdistan. He and his wife were arrested on Thursday 15/10/2015 by security office in Saqez. He is a civil activist in Iranian Kurdistan who has constantly defending the right of teachers.

Zandinya and another 8 members of Iranian Kurdistan teachers union have previously summonedby Revolutionary court number5. They were summoned at the end of July 2012 in Kurdistan province in Iran.

The previous year the union of teachers in Iranian Kurdistan had been told by intelligent ministry that they should revoke a statement that had been produced to mark 15th of may the anniversary of FarzadKamanger and another four prisoners execusion. They were executed by Iranian regime.
