In late September 2026—likely on September 19—Sardar Ramin, a 30-year-old Kurdish citizen from Qarna village in Naghadeh County and a former political detainee, was arrested by security forces in Naghadeh without a judicial warrant and transferred to an undisclosed location. Since then, no information regarding his condition or whereabouts has been available, and he has been denied all contact with his family.

Sardar Ramin has a prior history of arbitrary arrest. On September 1, 2021, he was detained by security forces without a judicial warrant and transferred to an undisclosed location. Following 69 days of arbitrary detention, he was temporarily released on a one-billion-Toman bail from the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center in Urmia.
