Three Teen Suicides in the Last Three Days

Kurdpa: Suicide rate is climbing among Kurdish youth, and in less than weeks three youth have taken their lives.
According to the information obtained by Kurdpa three people, two of them girl, have committed suicide in the last week.
Kurdpa reporter in ‘Diwandare’ has reported that on Wednesday, 10 July, a 19 year old ‘Hadi Haydari’ from the village of ‘Gulaneh’ in the suburbs of ‘Diwandare’ hung himself. So far the motives for the suicide are not clear yet.
In Mariwan, ‘Alan Rezapour’ a 17 year old girl ambulated herself on Friday, 12 January. Alan, married with a five month baby later died in the hospital due to the severity of her burns.
Also on Wednesday, 10 June, in the village of ‘Qalarash’ part of ‘Sardasht’ city, 17 years old ‘Marzieh Ahmadi’ ended her life by hanging.
Poverty, unemployment, and lack of work and economic opportunities in the Kurdish areas of Iran are among the top factors behind suicides.
