Kurdpa agency: The Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps Shelled the borders of Kurdistan Region again.

According to a report received by Kurdistan Press Agency (Kurdpa), on Thursday evening, August 16, the Iran armed guards shelled the Hajiomran, Chuman in the Kurdistan Region.

There are according to Hajiomran’s mayor no human causalities to report on at the timing of the report.

Based on information from sources in the area, the region has for the past ten days come under scattered attacks of the revolutionary guards. The environment has as a result of the shelling been damaged significantly.

On Monday, July 12, the Revolutionary Guards Corps also shelled the “Helgord heights” in the “Balakayati,” area as well as the “Konari, Qabrokan, Keferstan, Rezan and Grdgoi”.

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) after condemning the Iran regime for the shelling summoned the regime’s Consul General in Hawler (Erbil) demanding clarifications on the shelling.

Last year, the Revolutionary Guards shelled the Kurdish Regional areas three times, which was followed by more condemnation by the KRG authorties.

In June of this year, the IRGC deployed a large military to the “Kilashin” and started establishing military bases in “Shno”.

The Revolutionary Guards have stated that the reason for the deployment of the forces and the establishing of the bases is to prevent the Kurdish opposition parties from carrying out activities.

The Kurdistan’s regional authorities have repeatedly stated that: \"The Iranian government and the Kurdish parties’ opposition to the regime should resolve their issues through dialogue.\"

The regime has always used the term \"counterrevolution\" to describe individuals and organizations whose activities and demands is contrary to the official policies of the Iran regime and its sovereignty.
