Kurdpa: The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that Tehran will react strongly against any move to station the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK) in regional countries.
In a memorendum of understanding between the UN and the government of Iraq the 3200 MEK members living in the Camp Ashraf be relocated to Camp Liberty, a former U.S. military base near the Baghdad Internationalto Airport.
So far, the majority of the camp residents have been relocated to the new location; however, there are rumours that the group members might be resettled in neighbouring countries.
“If it is a Zionist-American plot that they be stationed in regional countries we have great sensitivity to this issue and will react strongly and we expect neighboring countries be aware of our sensitivity,” the regime\'s Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast told a regular news briefing.
The regime\'s spokesman also threatened the countries hosting the group and said the regional countries should be aware of Iran’s sensitivity in this regard, warning that any harboring of the terrorist group would damage their relations with Iran.
