Siavash Hayati was sentenced to one year in prison

Siavash Hayati, the spokesperson of the Yarsan Civil Activists Consultative Assembly and the Secretary of the United Kurdish Front, was sentenced to one year in prison by the 5th branch of the Kermanshah Revolutionary Court located in Islamabad West.

 The spokesperson of Yarsan Civil Activists Consultative Assembly was charged by Branch 5 of the Kermanshah Revolution Court located in Islamabad West on the charge of "propaganda activity against the regime through interviews with television and hostile media, as well as addressing the victims of the recent riots and calling the regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran oppressive" citing the article  500 of the Islamic Penal Code has been sentenced to one year of imprisonment.

 Also, another charge against Mr. Hayati is "inciting people to kill and war with the intention of disrupting the security of the country", which the court dismissed due to the lack of evidence to convince the conscience, and also based on the principle of acquittal based on Article 37 of the Constitution and Article 4.  The Criminal Procedure Law has acquitted him of the charge.

 On Saturday, the 8th of October, Siavash Hayati, the spokesperson of the Consultative Assembly of Yarsan Civil Activists and the Secretary of the Kurdish United Front, was released on bail.

 Mr. Hayati was arrested by the security forces on Friday, October 23rd, in the village of "Vargmeh" of Dalaho city and started a hunger strike since his arrest.

 On Monday, September 26th, he was transferred from Kermanshah Intelligence Department to Dieselabad prison.
